Evening all. Another round up for you and a very mixed bag.
Firstly, before I get into the more human reporting you've shown you appreciate, here's an update on yesterday's police presence on Morden Road/Wandle Road. You may have seen a few police cars in the area yesterday in the Morden area. While I cannot tell you what it is concerned with directly, (due to media law and open cases), I will let you know that we are on the case and working on it. I know that doesn't help much, but wanted to reassure you nonetheless. When I can, you'll know everything I can release.
Right. On to the day to day. On a Safer Neighbourhoods Team, or SNT, we get to deal with vastly different incidents. Today for example, The PCSOs attended a Road Traffic Collision (RTC) where someone had an medical event at the wheel and ended up crashing into a bus stop. Driver was taken to hospital, but at the time of writing, was not deemed life changing or critical. Thanks mostly to airbags and seatbelts. We've also attended a road near the Sutton border, where four youths on electric bikes tried to nab what they could, luckily nothing was taken. Residents reassured, and they were all on the case crime prevention wise, which really helped deter the opportunistic scoundrels. Tonight, we've been on Pollards Hill ward, patrolling around there, due to a recent incident where a victim was stabbed. Reassurance patrols turned up all safe and well, which is great news.
On the lighter side, we saved a cat who had no road sense in Colliers Wood. Some quick driving thinking and Tiddles was on his way home. No words of advice given about road safety as no one spoke cat.
Have a lovely evening, and as always, here's the survey that gets me nearer to the skipper's biscuit tin.
Dave and the team
